OneKitPlus Converters: the app for fast everyday conversions

March 27, 2026

Converters is the new OneKitPlus app built for one clear job: solving everyday conversions in seconds without sending people through slow, cluttered websites. The goal was not to build a giant portal, but a clean, reliable tool that feels quick on both mobile and desktop.

Why we built Converters

Small conversions happen all the time: centimeters to inches, liters to milliliters, Celsius to Fahrenheit, MB to GB, km/L to L/100km. The math is rarely the real problem. The real problem is the friction of finding a tool that is fast and easy to trust. Converters is meant to remove that friction.

That is also why the first release is intentionally focused. It stays centered on practical converters people can use every day, with a clean interface and instant calculations.

What is included today

  • Length, weight, volume, and temperature.
  • Area, speed, digital data, pressure, and power.
  • Fuel economy with km/L, L/100km, and mpg.
  • Fast search, from/to units, and instant Swap.

How it was designed

  • Calculations happen directly in the interface, with no need for outside APIs.
  • Search helps you jump to the right converter immediately.
  • Swap flips the conversion direction in one tap.
  • The app stays light and works naturally inside the OneKitPlus PWA experience.

Where it becomes useful

  • In the kitchen for volume and recipe conversions.
  • While traveling for temperature, speed, and distance checks.
  • For work or DIY tasks involving length, area, pressure, and power.
  • For car use cases where fuel economy needs quick comparisons.
  • For digital tasks where KB, MB, GB, and TB need to be converted fast.

Why it stays lightweight

The app is intentionally kept lean. Less complexity means more speed, lower maintenance, and a cleaner experience for people who only need an answer quickly.

Why it fits OneKitPlus

OneKitPlus is not meant to be one huge monolithic app. The platform works best when each tool solves a specific problem clearly. Converters fits that approach well: it is lightweight, immediate, and naturally complements other apps such as Car Expenses.

What comes next

The current base is already useful for daily use. From here, we can expand categories, refine search, and add more vertical converters requested by users while keeping the same philosophy: practical tools, fast results, and no unnecessary weight.
